TEMKO
Classically educated but nourished by pop, rock and jazz, TEMKO brings a new perspective to the contemporary ensemble. Finding joy in connecting their different musical backgrounds, their music moves freely between composed music, minimal music, ambient, progressive rock and improvisation. TEMKO composes and performs new music or, with much attention for details and sound textures, re-arranges music by composers or bands from Richard Wagner to Terry Riley and Nine Inch Nails.
MALLET COLLECTIVE
Mallet Collective focusses on mallet percussion with players educated in the same school and with the same playing style, although everyone is very individual as well. The group creates and presents new collaborative works to adventurous and curious audiences while providing meaningful service to its communities, in order to exemplify the power of music to unite people and forge deep social bonds. Listening to Mallet Collective should be more then a concert: a total experience!
HIER OM DE HOEK
Hier om de hoek is een muzikaal vlechtwerk van prachtige, filmische liedjes over één dorpsgemeenschap.
Een uniek tijdsportret, vertelt in avontuurlijke composities.
Een straat vol nieuwkomers, een kerk zonder gemeente, de eerste schooldag, de laatste buurtwinkel, het gonzende jaarfeest, de stille rivier, het eens, het oneens, de plotselinge stilstand, de onontkoombare vooruitgang; ‘Hier om de hoek’ is een muzikale mozaïekvertelling, een vlechtwerk van verhalen die tezamen een beeld geven van een moderne dorpsgemeenschap.
En Hier om de hoek is een muzikale belevenis die de klank van een gemeenschap laat horen. Voor het project werd een zeer diverse en brede waaier aan musici uit één regio samengebracht; van het kinderkoor tot de kerkorganist, van modern jazzy koper tot altviolen uit de barok.
Het resultaat is een verrassend en ontroerend tijdsbeeld, verteld in avontuurlijke Nederlandstalige composities.
S T A R G A Z E
Musicians who have been trained and worked in classical and contemporary music and are getting more excited each day by what's going on in contemporary pop/folk/electronica and uncategorizable genres in and around those confines.
They have decided not to wait for the institutions to come round and recognize this but are just "go" and starting to use their network and knowledge, tastes and abillities to facilitate performances of existing projects in these realms of extended instrumental line-ups with bands and their artists/composers as well as foster and workshop new collaborations.
So there's going to be a new scene and open-plan-kitchen, inviting international artists to become involved, we'll give them space, ideas and thrive. We have already found many kind and idealistic people who totally get it.
SOAP & SKIN
After being introduced to Anja Plaschg in 2018 through the S T A R G A Z E project of Bowie’s Blackstar, Ramon has been asked by Anja to become a band member of Soap & Skin. In 2019, when the new album From Gas to Solid / you are my friend came out, he joined the band and has been making all transcriptions of her music together with bandleader Martin Eberle. He is playing drums, percussion, vibraphone and occasionally piano.
“I wanted to create a world where I felt sheltered,” says Anja Plaschg. “I was searching for something soothing. The album is about separation, forgiveness, states of healing and frightening throwbacks.”
